2018 Champion of Hope:
UNCORK FOR HOPE FOUNDATION TO RECOGNIZE FORMER NFL SUPER BOWL QUARTERBACK VINCE FERRAGAMO
IRVINE, Calif. – APRIL 18, 2018 – The Uncork for Hope Foundation will host their signature event “Uncork for Hope” on Sunday, May 6 from 2pm-6pm at the Center Club Orange County in Costa Mesa, CA. The event, now a 6-year tradition, is a major annual fund-raising event that supports the Foundation’s mission to empower at-risk youth through community partnerships.
The guest of honor during this year’s event will be former NFL Super Bowl quarterback, winemaker, and philanthropist Vince Ferragamo, who will personally accept the “Champion of Hope” recognition. Ferragamo was been nominated for the award due to the incredible amount of work he has done over the years to serve at-risk youth in California.

“I’ve been blessed with a career in the National Football League and a healthy family. Giving back to the community is something that is very important to me.”
Since 1996, The Vincent Ferragamo Foundation has provided generous funding to children’s organizations such as Olive Crest, Special Olympics, Speech and Language Development Center (Buena Park), and Ronald McDonald House. Ferragamo is perhaps most recognized for his 10-year career in the National Football League during which he set numerous team records for the Los Angeles Rams and remains the only quarterback ever to lead the Rams to the Super Bowl. Ferragamo also operates a vineyard in Santa Maria, California. His 2012 Tenuta di Ferragamo wine has received a gold medal and Best of Class 93 points at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. Ferragamo’s wines will be poured at the event.
The 6th annual Uncork for Hope event will feature wine tastings sponsored by over 20 prominent winemakers in California, hors d’oeuvres by Chef Lewis Butler, and live music by jazz pianist Lee Rugless. Guests will have an opportunity to participate in both silent and live auctions which feature donated vacation packages, winemaker dinners, and more.
This is a business-casual event, tickets are only $300 each and sold in discounted tiers leading up to the day of the event. Sponsorship opportunities include a $15,000 Founding Partner, $7,500 Cabernet Partner, $3,500 Syrah Partner, and $2,000 Chardonnay Partner. Sponsors will receive a tax-deductible contribution receipt for their purchase, tickets to the event, an ad in the commemorative event program, recognition by the host during the event, and a Thank You Dinner hosted the evening prior.
